FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 


  • Where is the training academy located? The Academy is based in 6 Willings Passage, Main street, Pembroke, Pembrokeshire SA714JS.
  • What times do the classes run? The times of your training day will be discussed at time of booking. 
  • What time do i need to arrive to my training day? Please arrive 5 Mins before the start of your training day. 
  • Do i need to bring lunch? On full training days lunch will be provided. 
  • Are all products included on the day? Yes all products tools and equipment are provided for you to use on your training day.
  • What shall i wear? Please wear a suitable beauty tunic if you have one, if not then please wear all black. Closed toes shoes must be worn and all jewellery removed. (except small stud earring and a wedding/engagement band). Please tie long hair back. 
  • Can i cancel my course once booked and paid for? If you cancel your course which has been paid in full up to 4 weeks before the day a full refund will be given (or you can be transferred on to another course) if you cancel up to 2 weeks before the course a 50% refund will be given. No refunds will be given if less than 2 weeks notice is given or no show on the day. And no refunds will be given on deposits. 
  • Do i need to pay for course on time of booking? Yes, to book onto the course full payment or a deposit of £40 is required at time of booking. 
  • How do prices vary for courses with different training academies? At The Academy of Beauty we pride ourselves with offering excellent quality courses which give our students the confidence needed to leave the academy with confidence in their skills. Some of our courses are longer and more intensive as we feel this is what is needed to gain the skills required. 
  • How do i contact my tutor? When you book your course, a confirmation email will be sent to you within 24 hours with a telephone number for your tutor in case you need to contact her on the day. 
  • Will there be parking? There is lots of parking available around the Academy. 
  • Are all tutors suitably qualified? All or tutors are highly qualified in their subject and all hold recognised teaching qualifications.
  • Will i be able to work with your courses? All our courses are fully accredited by the Association of Beauty Therapists and fully insurable so you will be able to preform and charge for your treatments to members of the public. 
  • Do i need to bring a model? no models are needed (unless requested) as all students can work on each other during your training day. A model is needed for one to one training, you can bring your own or we can help find one. 
  • What age do i need to be? You need to be 16 to attend our training days. 
  • Do i need any qualifications? Most of our courses are suitable for beginners. Please check before booking. 
  • I am pregnant, can i still attend your training course? If you are pregnant you can still attend our training course but can not be worked on by other students if you are under 12 weeks pregnant. You can bring a model for the day if required. Please seek information from the academy. 
  • Where can i buy a kit needed for the course? All products are supplied for your course on the day your tutor will discuss with you and recommend kits and brands. 
  • What if you cancel my course? All group courses require 2 students to book for the course to go ahead. If for this reason your course is cancelled you will be informed and a full refund will be given. If for matters out of our control the course gets cancelled, a full refund will also be given.
